Robots relieve humans from working in hazardous environments, as well as performing some tasks humans are not willing to do. ExRobotics is the leading expert in developing and selling rugged reliable robots for harsh environments that require IECEx and ATEX Zone 1 certification.
Our IECEx /ATEX certified robots are the new benchmark for inspecting and surveying potentially explosive facilities. They are equipped with a range of sensors and cameras that use a wireless network to communicate with a driver of operator located in a safe control room.
In our product range you will find four different robots: First Responder, Emissions Detector, Co-Operator and Inspector. These robots all have different features and functionalities.
All of our robots are rugged and reliable. The machines are being used in the marine, arctic, desert, temperate and tropical climates. They have few moving parts, incorporate high quality parts from well-respected suppliers, and are designed to operate without human intervention.
Mobile robots provide two main capabilities. The first one is mobility and sensing, which requires means of propulsion, along with multiple onboard sensors for guidance and detection of the environment.

Human sized robots that replace the sight, hearing and smell of operators in flammable and explosive environments.
Ours robot can be equipment with multiple high definition visual cameras, microphones, infrared cameras, multiple gas detectors for different gasses and sound mapping.
The operator can be thousands of kilometers from the robot and communicates with it via an encrypted connection over the public 4G LTE infrastructure. This eliminates the need to invest in private wireless networks. Our record in long distance operation is more than 10.000 kilometers!
The onboard software allows the robot is operated autonomous and executed the predefine tasks. For autonomous operations ExRobotics deliver different solutions. The robot can be equipment with a Lidar, IMU, Odometry and multicore processors to handle all algorisms.
The robot fleet management system allows to manage and control the full range of robots deployed over multiple industrial plants and facilities. Operators prefer a graphical interface to show an overview of multiple robotic devices, but also require the flexibility to deep dive into each sensor and camera. For this reason, ExRobotics co-operates with Energy Robotics, who provide the software to manage and control our robots.
The Energy Robotics software contains functionalities for fleet management, mission control, mission reporting, robot status and an interface for remote control as well as for data transfer to customer clouds.
Our robots are designed to be the safest possible resident on your unmanned facility. They are built for self-docking and self-charging. Maintenance intervals are twice a year or less and for integration with other plant automation systems, we provide an A.P.I.
All robots supplied by ExRobotics can be certified for use in IECEx and ATEX Zone 1 areas. IECEx is an international standard that covers many countries around the world. ATEX is the European equivalent of that standard. A Zone 1 area is classified as a place in which an explosive atmosphere consisting of a mixture with air or flammable substances in the form of gas, vapour or mist is likely to occur in normal operation occasionally. In the future we intend to certify our robots for onshore USA (Class/Division), Russia and Euro-Asia (GOST) and Brazil (INMETRO). They are also currently certified for use in temperatures between -20C and +50C. We plan to increase this range to -40C to +60C.
