Responding to events, such as gas leaks, is traditionally very dangerous task. It requires breathing apparatus, protective clothing and a large safety hazard for the members of the emergency response team. Our first responder robots make it possible to reduce that risk and are especially designed to act in a similar way to bomb-disposal robots.

How does a First Responder robot work?

Our first responder robot is typically deployed from an emergency response truck and driven at short range, using a pad controller. It acts as the eyes, ears and nose of the emergency response team, keeping them away from the hazard during the early phases of an investigation.

First Responder robot: safety first

The ExR-1 first responder is unique in that it is Ex certified. It won’t trigger an explosion if hydrocarbon gas is present. The robot enables the the emergency responder to stay at a safe distance from the potential danger. If the emergency response needs to scale up, the robot’s data stream facilitates preparations.
